Nutritional Emergencies

Occasionally some medical problems that require urgent attention also have a nutritional component.  This section gives a simple guide to common situations where urgent nutritional advice may be required in addition to routine medical care.

Each of these problems is also dealt with on the NHS Direct web site www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk and all users of this site are advised to also seek the advice of their own doctor or follow the advice of NHS Direct.
