Treating Nutritional Deficiencies

Experts now recognise that deficiencies of vitamins and minerals represent a much greater problem than was considered even a decade previously. 

The World Health Organisation considers that solving the world-wide problem of nutritional deficiency requires a combination of four different approaches:

The degree of emphasis on each of these four approaches will vary from situation to situation and target group. 

These four approaches are also relevant to managing the majority of nutritional deficiency situations that are found in the UK and other developed countries.
